🧱 How to sell lego

For sealed LEGO, the box IS the product — condition of corners, seals, and box art drives the price. Shoot on a white or light-grey surface so the box art colors read accurately, and make the seal (or its absence) unmistakable. The set number must be legible in at least one photo.

📷 Photographing

• 🎨 White or grey background — lets box art colors show accurately
• 💡 Diffused natural light — no harsh shadows across the box art
• 📐 Box front, box back, spine, all four corners, and seal condition
• 🔒 For sealed sets: show the seal (or lack of it) unmistakably — it's the key trust signal
• 🔢 Make sure the set number is legible in at least one shot

📦 Packing & shipping

• 📦 Double-box: original box inside a larger corrugated box with 2" padding on every side
• 🔒 Tape the corners and seams of the original box before putting it inside the outer box
• 🫧 Fill dead space with air pillows or packing peanuts — no rattling = no crushed corners
• 🏷️ Large sets are heavy — weigh after packing; UPS/FedEx Ground often beats USPS for boxes over 5 lbs going far
